About Gin Lane 1751 Violet Gin

Gin Lane 1751 Violet Gin is an enchanting, one of a kind spirit that brings elegance and sophistication to any occasion. This unique gin takes its name from the historical Gin Act of 1751, a significant turning point in the history of gin craft. Simultaneously, it pays tribute to the blossoming cocktail culture of London's Victorian Era.
The most striking feature of this gin is the deep, alluring hue owed to the addition of violet flowers during the distillation process. This thoughtful decision does not merely result in a stylish, visual appeal but also adds a delightful floral note to the gin, setting it apart from more traditional varietals. When you choose to buy Gin Lane 1751 Violet Gin, you're not just making a spirits purchase; you're bringing a dash of ingenuity and historical nostalgia to your gin collection.

Tasting Notes

The sensory journey of this spirit begins with the initial Nose. Hints of juniper and aromatic spice mingle with the sweet, romantic notes of violet, bringing to mind images of a spring evening. In Mouthfeel, this gin is smooth with a gentle sweetness accompanying the quintessential powerhouse of juniper. The aftertaste is lingering, with the floral notes echoing long after the last sip, making for a truly memorable gin experience.

Suggested Serves

  • Violet G&T - The delightfully floral notes of this gin make a perfect pair with tonic water and a slice of lemon. The result- a refreshing, visually striking spin on the traditional G&T.
  • Violet Martini - The full-bodied, smooth texture of this gin lends itself perfectly to a martini, with the violet undertones providing a floral twist.

Production Notes

Gin Lane 1751 Violet Gin is a London Dry Gin, which means all its flavor comes from botanicals that are added during the distillation process rather than being infused post-distillation. This category of gin is renowned among gin lovers for its bold, robust flavor profile. With an ABV of 40%, this gin strikes the perfect balance between strength and drinkability. Making use of a traditional pot still, the gin is produced using original Victorian techniques, which indeed play an important part in creating its distinctive character. So order your bottle today, and shop the class, quality, and charm that is Gin Lane 1751 Violet Gin.

this is the book you’re looking for
Format: Paperback
I’d just finished reading Jules Gil-Peterson’s A Short History and felt a little unsatisfied and uncomfortable with all the orientialism. I picked this up and was immediately sure I had the antidote. Bhatt is clear, direct, and uncompromising. She avoids filler and gets right to the heart of things—“how is this not like blackface?” gets dealt with more thoroughly and decisively than I have ever seen it within the first few pages. She reveals the transmisogyny lurking in even nominally queer social and intellectual movements, and also finds pockets of beautiful solidarity and common ground in some surprising places. Above all, her love for women shines through every word. This book cleared up some misconceptions I had, made me cry, and will make me a better partner and comrade to trans women. Buy it.

Excellent essays in a brilliant book
Format: Paperback
This is a really excellent book. A lot of anthologies of essays have great essays in them, as this one does, but not all of them work as well as a cohesive text as Trans/ Rad/Fem does. I'd recommend this for anyone interested in transfeminism, even if you'd already read individual essays from Bhatt's newsletter by the same name. As with the essays in their newsletter format, The Third Sex and The Questions Has an Answer were my favorite. Bhatt's writing has such force and clarity that I look forward to reading whatever she chooses to write about next.

Absolutely brilliant
Format: Kindle
An absolute tour de force reckoning with decades of feminist scholarship and theorizing about trans feminine bodies and motivations. Succinctly and pithily describes the hegemonic culture’s understanding of transsexual women and demands an accounting from the hegemony’s enablers on their treatment of all marginalized queer and especially trans people.

Bhatt Writes Like a Freight Train Barreling Towards You
It's just hit after hit after hit. It's some of the punchiest writing I've ever read, conceived from a combination of a mastery over the written word and enough righteous indignation to burn a star out. Perfection. If you brought back Simone de Beauvoir today, after she stopped screaming at the sight of a computer, I think she'd thoroughly enjoy this. Rigorous and bracing as a read. Has its place in the modern feminist canon.
